NAVI MUMBAI: The presence of mind shown by an accounts manager of Arcee Electronics showroom in sector 17, Vashi, helped nab two of the three fraudsters. The trio visited the store and purchased two smartphones worth Rs 89,000, by allegedly using a fake debit card. The incident took place on Wednesday around 7.30 pm. The third accomplice managed to give a slip with the two smartphones. Acting on a complaint lodged by the accounts manager, Dattaprasad Dhuri (32), the Vashi police have registered a cheating case under sections 420 and 34 of the IPC against the three accused.
